The phrase “I love you” in French is je t’aime (pronounced zhuh tem).

Talking to One Person vs. More Than One

  • Je t’aime → “I love you” (to one person).

  • Je vous aime → “I love you all” (to more than one person).

    • Je t’aime et je veux passer le reste de ma vie avec toi.
      I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.


    You can also add a little extra word for emphasis:
