If you’re learning colours in Spanish, you’ll definitely want to know how to say pink.
The word “pink” in Spanish is rosa (pronounced ROH-sah).
Me gusta tu vestido rosa.
I like your pink dress.
Compré flores rosas para mi madre.
I bought pink flowers for my mum.
Pintamos la habitación de rosa.
We painted the room pink.
Tiene un sombrero rosa muy elegante.
She has a very elegant pink hat.
Sus mejillas están rosas por el frío.
Her cheeks are pink from the cold.
Unlike most colour adjectives in Spanish, rosa doesn’t change for masculine or feminine nouns.
✅ Un coche rosa – a pink car (masculine)
✅ Una flor rosa – a pink flower (feminine)
So, rosa stays the same no matter the gender of the noun.
The Spanish word rosa comes from the Latin rosa, meaning “rose.” The colour name originally referred to the shade of rose petals.
