Take care and call me when you arrive.
Fica bem uses the verb ficar (to stay/become) → “stay well.”
Cuida-te uses the reflexive verb cuidar-se (to look after oneself).
In Brazilian Portuguese, you’ll often hear se cuida instead of cuida-te.
Fica bem → from ficar (to stay) + bem (well) → “stay well.”
Cuida-te → from cuidar-se (to care for oneself) → “look after yourself.”
Both show care and warmth, but fica bem is more casual while cuida-te feels a little more personal.
